I have been enjoying the services of eBAY of late, purchasing a number of items and also selling a few items. On the whole the process has worked wonderfully well. I have offloaded a lot of stuff that was just taking up room and serving no purpose in my life. In some instances, fetching way more than I had ever hoped for; so result!
I have been buying XBOX games for my father, who is a man of simple pleasure and enjoys not so much the Halo type games, but more your sports simulation. World Snooker 2003 proved a major hit with him and he then requested Tiger Woods Golf. Now you got to understand, the very fact my father is asking for this tickles me pink with pride. This is a man you would not consider an XBOX fan! Granted I had to give him my console to get him started, but he's now playing games such as snooker and rallying upon evening. More power to him I say.
eBAY is a great place for second hand XBOX games. I have bought and sold a number there all with success. However, getting the Tiger Woods game is proving troublesome and has now become a challenge. The secret to buying on eBAY is fixing a price in your head as to the maximum you will pay and never going over it. That way you don't get caught up in the excitement of bidding and end up spending more for a second hand item than it would be buying it brand new!
The figure I have set for Tiger Woods is £12.50 and not a penny more. I wait until the last 10-5 minutes and place my bid in. I win for a few minutes, then some bugger comes in and outbids me! By pennies! ARGH! This has happenned 6 times after the price has sat around the £5-6 mark for days! Well the silver lining is that I am increasing the amount for the seller; they must be pleased with me!
Incidentally played Halo2 (XBOX) last night with Andy and while I got completely humped, I feel I put up an admirable challenge, I did nip a few wins off him. On the whole it was good, but I didn't see a whole lot of difference with the original Halo. Not sure what I am missing or what I should be looking out for.

A friend recommended http://www.bidnapper.com/ which waits until the last 6 seconds of an auction to place your final bid. I've never used it but he swears buy it.
