I am off up to Portland to attend the Open Source Conference by O'Reilly. There is a whole plethora of us from SpikeSource heading up there to host our TestFest which is pretty cool. If you are going to the conference be sure to stop by and talk to us.
In addition to that, I will also be talking on the Wednesday, on a rather interesting topic that I have enjoyed compiling. If you had to name 8 open source applications that you find really useful but aren't considered the mainstream what would you suggest?

Hi Alan, wanted to contact you to ask for an interview at the oscon (see seperate email). While searching for your email I stumbled over your blog and HAD to comment by pointing you to the SPIP project which is not much known in the anglo-american free software universe. It is a very easy to install and use CMS developed by some French hackers. Originally written to provide content for "Le Monde Diplomatique" it is now very successful in the non-for-profit world of small NGOs who cannot afford IT personnel. Mavbe you want to have a glance on it: www.spip.net
Would be great if we would meet at the oscon. Best, BernhardI see somebody is amused by the title of this blog. All he had to comment was Ha!Ha!. I can see why. I believe that the real purpose of opensource is to drive microsoft out of business which is a tough job. Microsoft would not allow that. Open source is just as vulnerable to Hackers as Microsoft is. Only last week they found a vulnerability. Wikis, open source platform at risk from new flaw. see URL:http://www.internetnews.com/security/article.php/3517686
There is only one solution. The solution is to junk the present browser that is client oriented in favor of a new browser that would be server oriented after it is developed as dicussed at http://www.hackers10.blogspot.comMine of course!!
