That is it now released into the wild.
Go and play with it. Head over to http://www.openbluedragon.org/
Due to the time contraints, we didn't get everything done in time, so we'll get that slowly released this week.
Open BlueDragon : 1 day left to go
The wait is nearly over, the day the CFML world gets its very own GPL CFML runtime engine is nealy upon us. Excited? We are.
It has been a huge challenge getting this ready to be released, and while we won't have all the resources available from day one (wiki etc), it won't detract from the core engine being made available in a variety of different formats.
We have the standard J2EE WAR file ready to be dropped into any J2EE container you wish to throw at it. It weighs in at a huge 11 MB! Yes you read it right, only 11MB. I mean, just how much fun can you have with a server thats only 11 MB?
For those that don't wish to configure that yourself, then we packaged up a complete ready to run, Jetty instance. Just unzip it, start it up, and then point your browser towards it. No configuration, just use it. That comes in at just 24 MB!
Of course the source code, for those that are interested, will also be available (ironically that comes in at 13MB).
If you are going to cf.Objective() then catch Vince doing the first ever presentation on Open BlueDragon, detailing how you get it up and running and how you can build it from source. After Vince is done with his presentation, it will be available online for everyone else to play with.
